Honoring Max Fineran — a loving husband and father — by supporting the causes Max cared about most.

Known for his infectious personality and remarkable ability to make even the most ordinary moments memorable, Max Fineran left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Over the years, Max became known as the person you could always count on—the “go-to guy” for just about anything. His diverse career reflected his curiosity, talent, and willingness to embrace new challenges. From working in media production with Just Right TV and serving as a media teaching assistant at Atlantic Cape Community College to becoming a trusted Apple expert during his 9 years with Apple, Max was a passionate technology enthusiast with a gift for helping others.
But technology was only one part of who he was. Max also wore many other hats throughout his life, including karaoke host, podcast host, and jack-of-all-trades at Little Water Distillery. Whatever role he took on, he brought energy, humor, and genuine enthusiasm that made every experience better for those around him.
When he wasn't working or pursuing his many interests, Max could often be found at two of his favorite places: the beach and Disney World—destinations that perfectly reflected his adventurous spirit and appreciation for life's simple joys.
Above all else, Max was devoted to the people he loved. He is remembered as a loving son, caring brother, adoring husband, proud father, and loyal friend. His legacy lives on through his wife, Sutton, his son, Bodhi, the countless lives he touched, and the ongoing mission of our foundation. Through them, and through the memories he created, Max's impact will continue to be felt for generations to come.
We focus our giving on partners doing meaningful, joyful work with families navigating loss.
A Gary Sinise Foundation program that creates special Disney trips for military families experiencing the loss of a loved one — a long weekend of joy, friendship, and remembrance.
Max loved Disney, and we know he would love nothing more than helping bring joy to a family going through an unimaginable loss.
Visit organizationTheir mission is to harness the healing power of the ocean to help grieving families coping with the loss of a loved one who had a deep connection to the ocean or nature. They memorialize loved ones by carefully etching their names onto locally hand-shaped surfboards and carrying them out into the ocean to catch a symbolic one last wave — an active way to honor them in a place they loved.
We chose One Last Wave because Max's favorite place in the world was the beach — helping families find peace through sunsets, a warm ocean breeze, and time in the waves felt right.
Visit organizationMax was an ardent supporter of local businesses around South Jersey. From local videographers to working farmer's markets with the local distillery, Max loved seeing local businesses thrive. To partner with us on one of our events, reach out.
